Why the name Banner Church

“In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him,
and his resting place will be glorious.”

  — Isaiah 11:10

Jesus is the "banner" that was promised in Isaiah. In John 12:32 He says, “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” When Jesus defeated the grave he was raised up as the banner for all people to come under and receive  salvation. We believe that Jesus is what the whole world is looking for, and there is no substitute. That is why we as a church are called to raise the banner of Jesus Christ in Phoenix and across the globe, and invite all people to receive the life-changing hope and love He offers.
